RKS Kalvi Nilayam
RKS Kalvi Nilayam offers State Board curriculum. Students are challenged to work hard and teachers ensure that academic rigour is maintained at all times. Our curriculum is self-motivated, progressive and inquiry driven. Teachers and coordinators observe and update the curriculum as per the curriculum review cycle. Teaching methodologies and class content are planned collaboratively on a regular basis using a reflective process to improve the learning experience of all students.
RKS Kalvi Nilayam has a curriculum that is fully customized to meet the individual needs, interests, and learning style of the student. We believe that children should be treated with respect and that the child’s self image is the most important part of the learning process. Children need to perceive themselves as worthwhile, capable and significant, and therefore their experiences should be positive and reinforcing. By allowing such experiences to occur, they will develop self-confidence and high self-esteem. It is also important that we as caregivers communicate acceptance and allow a child to develop a sense of belonging.
Children must be allowed to make mistakes. This is all part of the learning process. As a caregiver, it is our responsibility to listen and acknowledge children’s feelings and frustrations and to offer calm positive guidance when situations arise. Developmentally appropriate expectations and limits are set. One must remember to be firm, to be kind; but to look at what the “real” problem is. Under no circumstance do we physically or emotionally abuse a child.

A child comes into a school like a dormant seed. Our school takes the responsibility to nurture a child and make them blossom. We have currently 239 students in Nursery School and 8 teachers to mould them.

Our school act as the door of education that leads to the success. English medium section is fully self finance oriented. It also has classes from 6th to 12th standard. We have currently 380 students with 14 teachers to guide them. Our school helps in providing mental and social development to our students. Our school does not merely focus on academic performance but the overall development of our students.

R. K. Sreerangammal Kalvi Nilayam Higher Secondary School - Tamil Medium (Aided)
In our school Tamil medium is aided section. This gets aids from the government. It has classes from 6th to 12th standard. We have currently 502 students with 20 teachers to guide them. Our school provides excellent knowledge, learning methods, culture and discipline to the students for being a better responsive person in future.

Our Methodology
Our Methodology is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment. We focus on teaching our students the skills and strategies that promote their growth and development. Teachers understand what the students are going through and help them deal with the problems. The teachers are like our second parents, and they make the students feel home when they are far away from home. Our Teaching Methodology is focused on discussions, debates, pep talks, seminars, projects, high-quality self study, usage of mind maps etc.
The motto of our Methodology is to replace Books with Experiments, Exams with Enquires, Homework with Discussions.Our teachers continuously inspire the students and push them beyond the limits to help them pursue their dream. The teacher sees the potential of each child and accordingly, helps the child in studies.They make the student academically excellent and encourage them to do good in life.
Online Classes
The COVID-19 crisis has forced education systems worldwide to find alternatives to face-to-face instruction. As a result, online teaching and learning have been used by teachers and students on an unprecedented scale.
Our prime focus is to make learning more meaningful. This is achieved when students are provided opportunities to explore concepts across difference subject areas. This is known as interdisciplinary learning and this is our unique methodology.
Our teachers are doing the great work during this Covid period. Teachers are working hard to fill Learning gaps. Our teachers who have been working really hard and tirelessly to make sure children’s learning should go on.
